I just had coffee here as it was close to my hotel. I fell in love with the place as soon as I walked in. It reminds me of old school diners that you don’t really see anymone. Locals were sitting and chatting or enjoying their morning paper in silence while a tv buzzed off a muted morning news. A good cup of coffee (with heavy cream) and toast was 350yen. Looks like they offer a few simple breakfast options for under 400yen. They also give you a glass of fresh ice water and a hot towel to wipe the city from your brow. The place smells slightly of cigarettes so just keep that in mind. No one was actively smoking and I actually found the it rather comforting. My grammy used to smoke. The ladies sitting at the counter, chatting and laughing amongst themselves, transported me back to my childhood. It was a blast from the past. I’ll probably go back tomorrow.

The breakfast I had was, without doubt, the most affordable I have encountered, yet it did not compromise on quality. The friendly service provided by the elderly lady, added a personal touch that made my visit even more enjoyable. I look forward to returning soon and will certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Simply breakfast which is very cheap in this area. Do take note that they allow customer to smoke inside the cafe.

I don’t think it possible to find a cheaper morning set. Especially one with a fried egg instead of a boiled egg. This was just ¥320 in December 2023. Smoking is allowed, but the restaurant was empty when I went on a Saturday morning at 9:30. It did not smell like smoke at all.

We were staying nearby and found this place in the morning. For 320 Yen I had 'A' set with coffee that appeared to be siphon brewed. Smoking is allowed so if you're sensitive you may want to keep this in mind. For 320 Yen, it's a deal and the food is fair. When we went at about 8am, it wasn't really busy and one person taking care of everything; take orders, bring food, clean up. More interesting spot to start the day than Starbucks.
